Cocktail evening and brandy in the cigar room.

I'm not saying this is going to happen but, just to guage interest, would there be much interest in an F&A Beers? Bear in mind that it will be Dublin based and it willl be on a Friday or Saturday night. (This is simply a logistical thing, there are more of us based here then anywhere else in the country so Beers tend to be here).

If there is enough of us willing to partake in an evening of social chitchat over a glass or two then I'll pick a date and a venue. I'm not going to chop and change the date trying to suit everyone because that just dosen't work. If you miss out on the evening then we will just have to do it again a few months down the line. :cool:

Remember - I'm just gathering feedback here. If this goes ahead I'll start a new thread with details.

Sure I don't think I've met any of the FAP people either apart from Futurecrook, that's the best part of beers - the terror!

Going to my first beers was one of the best things I ever did! My best nights out are always with boardsies, without fail. I met my boyfriend at my second beers and we're going out two years now.

That would depend on the venue and I've not given that much thought yet.
The Dylon Hotel just off Baggot Street is a good venue midweek though I don't know what it's like at the weekend. Good cocktail bar, good cigar garden and rather plush surroundings.

Thanks, I won't be able to make it on a weekend night, but would be interested in finding somewhere I could have the odd cigar freely with a little drink. Have had hankering to start emptying humidor lately.

I'd love something where everyone gets a bit dressed up, to differentiate F.A.P 'beers' from other forum's 'beers.' I only ever seem to be able to dress up for my work Christmas party these days.
Harrybelafonte- there's a thread about what pubs have the best smoking areas here if that's any help.

The Beauty Spot is on every Thursday. Would an F&A cocktail night next Thursday (26th Aug) suit? If that is too short notice we could concider the following (and any subsequent) Thursdays.

I know that this is of limited interest to the gentlemen of the forum but cheap cocktails goes a long way to ease the pain.

Yeah I know the weekend would be better but trying to find a suitable event is a tad more difficult on Friday/Saturdays.

Wow I've only seen this thread now! I'm in! So many Beers coming up, it's great. My first beers was amazing, lots of cocktails and chats involved! And I went in not knowing a soul.

My pal hosts the Beauty Spot I think if we want a fancy fancy night out, go for the hotel or whatever. If we're looking for more chilled outing,the night in Dakota is more casual, and there's clothing and make up pop up shops.
