Hi i put the car in for nct test last sunday morning. despite my worrries that it would fail miserably its only failed on the bump stops on the rear springs.
Does anyone know where i could get new ones? The fiat dealership want €40 for each one and i need two of them. I tried a few local autopart shops and they cant them. They said to try the fiat dealership. I cant believe they are so expensive and would like to try get them cheaper.

Ya thats the problem. I would like to get new ones so they cant fail the nct re test. All they have to do is put it up on the lift to check them.

Some parts are like that for the Mk2 Punto. Tried getting an anti-rollbar bush recently and all of the replacement ones where nothing like the one on the car. In the end, I went to Fiat main dealer who supplied the correct one for a modest €15.

Having said all that, this is the first time I've heard of a bump stop failing a test...

from when i worked in a fiat garage once its not a punto sporting you should be able to get them for around €10 each. Fiat changed part numbers about a year ago and made them cheaper
