Do overweight people find other overweight people attractive?

I never really see many skinny people going out with overweight people. Are overweight people attracted to others like them or do they just lack the self esteem to attract a slim person.

Are they more likely to be able to look beyond other peoples physical flaws or do they just force themselves to because they have no other choice.

What about if they lose the weight, will they then think they finally deserve a slim person?

I think your supposition is more than slightly flawed, that fat people only get fat people. I have seen plenty of couples with radically different figures. Attraction happens on many levels which is probably a good thing since such a high percentage of Irish people are over weight. I have noticed that that you are far less likely to see a skinny girl with a fat bloke for some reason though. R.ather than the other way around

I think it takes a certain type of person to find an overweight person attractive. I think males who have a bit extra may also fare a bit better than females who have a bit extra.

A part of the reason could be "matching up", you know psychologically and in different aspects. But I doubt that because a person is fat, they'll like fat people more and not thin people as much for physiological reasons.

I think men are biologically programmed to be attracted to women that would be considered curvy. There aren't too many skinny women that would be more attractive. The critcal aspect is that they are and appear healthy.

I think there's something in what the OP said, in that we tend to go for people who we believe are at a similar attractiveness level to us. People also tend to get love chub when they're in a relationship so you can end up fat after starting out slim. End of the day you can't see personality across the dance floor so people will judge on a) looks and b) what they reckon they can score

I don't think that's true at all, there's a man out there for every woman, no matter what's perceived to be wrong with her there's a man with that particular fetish looking for her. Many men have little to no standards as well, so I think the women have a better chance of finding someone.
