These channels help to pay for the better channels that you get, It is one channel, honestly, do you not realise how much junk channels you get with the likes of Sky and you are moaning about 1 channel???

i think the problem is where the channel is

This is good though. At least it's only one channel. It's step in the right direction. :o

It doesn't cost me anything either on UPC so what are you going on about?

There are so many more junk channels on Sky but people moan about one junk channel on UPC, watch the channels you want to and ignore the ones you have no interest in, easy concept really..

You are ignoring the key difference - Sky put the junk up in the 800's, UPC have put the junk in the middle of the entertainment channels.

Shame on UPC - once again when you think they have got the message and remove buzz and smile they now go and put this exploitive twaddle on the network.

All involved should hold their heads in shame.

And still we wait for Watch,Good Food and Yesterday.......

It doesn't bother me where they put the channel. If I don't like it, move on to the next one. They need these channels in order to get the more expensive ones. It is common sense.

    not available in Cork either.
There are loads of such channels on Sky and you do pay for them (installation and monthly fee) Do they disappear when you cancel your subscription? At least now, its only one channel and I find it easy to avoid on my ex chorus sagem box( press ok for channel list, side arrows to move up/down one page, select your desired channel, press ok, and watch. Use back button to return to previous channel) I don't have the patience to move up one channel at a time.

Those channels pay Sky to be on the Sky platform. Sky do not pay them. Subscribers do not pay anything for FTA channels.

just to update. The channel was added to the Cork system sometime yesterday. It must have the worst production quality I have ever seen. Obviously, if the are paying Sky and UPC to broadcast, then if nobody phones their €2.40 service, they cannot afford to continue. Are these channels more popular than we think? And I am not convinced by anyone who argues that Sky is any better in this regard.

Most of the crap on Sky is free to air; take out your viewing card (or go around to someone who has a FTA dish) and the channels you are left with is the rubbish youre not paying for.

End of the day, who cares? If you dont like it then dont watch it. Its not like they have dropped Sky1 or RTE to make space for it.

its on the Limerick platform. just looks like Smile TV but with a different name. English presenter , english callers, but an irish phone number.

bit stupid having it so low down in the EPG
