Why would you/anyone want to continue studying after completing a professional qualification?

Exactly :D. For someone whos never actually been to college very early twentys is quite early to be finished a professional quailification. Just wondering if there are courses out there that might be benefical to do? To have a college on my CV. When i was looking into this accountancy route i was told by many of the larger firms they only hire gradutes so i asked when one becomes professional quailified what the situation was and they were unsure of the answer, if a post grad etc would improve employment prospects and if i experienced a bit of the college life its a win - win.
Just wondering has anybody done something similar prehaps not stricitly accountancy related(maybe a law post grad)......education is never a burden and all the rest;)

Well I got out of accounting if that counts for something different!

I did several post-grad. courses with the Open University and went into software engineering

I've spent the last 20 years or there abouts designing and developing various systems for the investment business - lots of stats, probability theory and of course all the stuff you learn in financial management but never get to use. Definitely a lot more fun than doing auditing and accounting in my opinion.:D

If I was starting out again I'd say learn a language and you will increase your job opportunities no end. There are lots of jobs over here (Switzerland), if you can speak a bit of the language.

    Good luck with that,

    Jim
