I gave up wheat and dairy 5 years ago to help with constipation (didn't work very effectively) and I know its mostly down to stress but I find when I eat too much carbohydrate, as in a plate of pasta (rice), 2 potatoes etc my stomach is very bloated and crampy!!!

Are carbohydrates hard to digest??? If so which ones are the easiest?? Thanks

Also which green vegetables are the best for a low carb diet?

Do you have IBS? I have and would suffer from constipation if I overload on pasta, rice, potatos or bread. These foods also cause major bloating, like all weight is in the tummy area and nowhere else! I'm not sure if these carbs are hard to digest but I know my body has a hard time processing too much of them.

All green vegetables are good really for any diet - but if you have a sensitive tummy be careful with brocolli and cabbage. :o I love getting some cauliflower, mashing it with butter and salt - 'pretend' potatos!

A lot of people have trouble digesting wheat and nightshades like the potato.

Re green veggies- yeah if you have a sensitive digfestive system or IBS then the brassica family (brocolli/ brussel sprouts/cabbage etc) are known to cause distension, bloateyness and gas. Opt for the others.

Carbs are not really hard to digest, in fact things like potatoes and pasta/rice are easily digested and quickly.
