Eurostar - prices

Perhaps this isn't the best place to ask but does anyone use the Eurostar? I'm always hearing people say how cheap it is, and I'm always seeing fares like '£59 return to Brussels' quoted in travel articles, but any time I ever look it up, tickets are almost £100 each way, not flexible. And this is 2+ months in advance. What am I doing wrong here? I love the Eurostar but almost always find it cheaper to fly.

I used it to Paris last year to the football match. I think it's great when you arrive as you are in the center immediatley. We paid around £120 return as far as I remember.

http://www.eurostar.com/UK/uk/leisure/latest_deals/lbbd/spring_break.jsp click on the availability calendar.

6 - 8 weeks in advance should be more than enough to get a cheap fare. If you are restricted to weekend breaks it's a little harder but I still have managed to bag a few.
