Hey sorry in advance if this has been covered already. Could anyone recommend a good strength training and nutrition book or books. Mainly what I'd be looking for is varying weights workout plans for total body workouts and a timeline of when to change to a different plan etc. I'm currently doing a 3 day week of:
    Day 1: Back and biceps
    Day 2: Chest and triceps
    Day 3: Shoulders and legs.

Slightly off topic but just wondering has anyone here ever subscribed to the website run by Mike Boyle www.strengthcoach.com - $99 for a years subscription.

Just wondering has anyone every signed up and if so what did they think I would imagine it could be useful for some working as a Personal trainer or team fitness coach.

Without having looked at it, my opinion would be there are enough free sites out there by coaches just as reputable as Boyle, (Informed Performance, Transforms, Mike Robertson, Eric Cressey, Defrancos etc.) and CrossFit.ie have daily links to good articles and videos on their site from all sorts of websites.

If you want to pay, $25 for the CrossFit Journal is money well spent.

Do you get access to back issues? (or is there some way to?)

Yes I do, and as you say it's a resource mainly for trainers and coaches, probably not worth it for someone in the OP's position, and I'd echo the crossfit journal...sometimes videos are a nice alternative to reading.

It is a great book and well worth the money - can be found in most book stores afaik.
