Hi i applied for Disability Allowance on June 15th, when i called last Friday i was told, that they are processing applications that were submitted at end of May, and it would be approximately one more month to 6 weeks for a decision.

Now here is my dilemma. My landlord has asked us to move out, our lease ends August 31st. Because his girlfriend is expecting a child. Now im not sure what to do, i have heard that people have to reapply again if they move and have to start the process again:eek::confused:

Should i just not inform them, that im moving and sort of wait it out for initial decision/keep checking mail with the old landlord? Im hoping i can just call them or mail them informing them of change of address? Or would they know the new address, since the Rent Allowance is changed to another location?

Anyone have previous experience with this sort of situation?

You have to inform them - anything else is fraud.

You don't have to reapply again. If you move to an area thats covered by a different SW Office you just have to transfer your claim to that office.

Inform them in Longfrod, in writing, of your new address as soon as you have one. Then there should be no delay on your claim.
