Compliments to Leinster & Mullingar RFC

Decided to head down to Mullingar to watch the Leinster training session yesterday with my son. I was very impressed by the set up and cannot say enough about the Leinster players.

To a man they came across as good down to earth guys who could not do enough for the supporters who attended. It is so refreshing to see professional sports people who have not lost the run of themselves that find time to give a little back.

    Compliments again.

Nice to hear you enjoyed it, I heard it was a very good day out.

It's great to see Leinster getting around the province and meeting the people too. I like the appreciation that's shown to the clubs around Leinster and the respect the players show the supporters in getting out to have their picture taken etc. (I even once went to Tullamore RFC and got to chat at length with Sean O'Brien and Birch, the players are extremely accesable.)

Kudos to Leinster (and the other provinces who do the same) and the IRFU. There's a great relationship between the fans and the teams in this country.

It's a great initiative, and one which Leinster really needed to take. The appeal of Leinster Rugby has grown massively, and it's not just due to success on the pitch. We've worked hard to shed the D4 / private school stigma, and to try involve and enthuse those who have traditionally felt disenfranchised by Leinster Rugby.

Well done to the players and everyone at the LB for making this happen. Now, if only all the fans could take the same approach...
