Had both, TuneIn radio seems a lot faster, doesn't cut out to buffer as much and has an all round sleeker look about it.

Tune In Radio doesn't have Newstalk.

Both Tune in and Wunder use the Radio Time service, so I find it strange that one station is in one and not in the other.

Also, you can always include a custom stream.

Having said this, I like Wunder a little bit more but the Rewind function of Tune in is a killer!

Wunder is expensive but have had no problems so far and the University of Wyoming does an awesome jazz breakfast show :D

Can they play in the background or do you have to leave them open?

    Wunder has to be open,
    TuneIn doesn't

    AFAIK

Nope, Wunder can be on in the background -- even uses the iPod buttons.

Wunder does have a bigger variety though.

As an alternative, I use RadioBOX and it does everything I need.

What about GrabRadio? It seems to have all Irish & UK stations.

    You've counted them all?

Check a free app Alarm Clock Radio. There's 100s of stations to listen to. In the talk radio section check out Old time radio. Dozens of old shows from the 30s/40s & 50s.

miasto muzyki is pretty good for a free app about 20 or so genres to choose from 50's 60's 70's 80's 90's classical , soul , rock and even celtic music with a few polish artists thrown in for good measure

    Yes, it does.
Do a search in the app and it comes right up.

Loving Tune In Radio. Put ipod touch on a docking station and you have yourself an internet radio. Great for BBC stations if your interested.
