Any local shops to buy frame drums?

    Can anyone recommend a local shop (or Irish online shop) that might carry Remo Frame Drums? Looking specifically for a 22" renaissance head, hand frame drum (kind of like a bodhran, but more of a middle-eastern hand drum).

    Thomann has them, but I'd prefer to shop local if I can...

    Hi there,

    I am currently looking for the same (12" version though)
    Done a bit of ground work and have to report that it´s really difficult getting _any_ affordable frame drum locally - unless it´s a bodhran.

    Basically you have two choices: Music Maker on Exchequer street have frame drums, but they are above the 100 euro mark and are not the make you are looking for.
    Waltons (George´s street and near Parnell street) are the only listed Remo reseller for Ireland, but they don´t have them in stock. I was told that there is an average 3 month waiting period for Remo frame drums there if you order it with them, as Remo does not ship single items.

    If my research has been incomplete and you found a shop selling them, please post here, as I´m not patient enough to wait 3 months and I don´t have the money for a 100 EUR one... :-)
