Hi guys, While watching the Euro champs, I noticed some athletes had different coloured backgrounds to their names / numbers on the front of their vests (rather than the plain white for the majority). Could someone possibly explain why? :confused: Thanks

While watching the Euro champs, I noticed some athletes had different coloured backgrounds to their names / numbers on the front of their vests (rather than the plain white for the majority). Could someone possibly explain why?

I know one colour was to indicate the current champion, others may have been for the best times this year etc.
