Anyone got one of these? Doesn't seem a bad price considering it includes 1TB of space.

From what I can figure the software is OS, not that it seems to mean much.

Just can't seem to figure if it acts as a UPnP/DLNA server, so I may access media from my PS3, X360 or wifi radio.

As it seems to act as a NAS (limited I know over 100mbit LAN), it might be an ideal replacement for my rubbish LaCie NAS device.

    I ordered it anyway.

    Hopefully won't be too bad.

I just hope it'll be recognised by my other networked devices.

    Good stuff.

I'll report my findings whenever it arrives, for the benefit of the forum.

Ok got mine today and I am very happy with it. I have put about 100gb of movies on so far and there has been no issues playing any of them.
At first I left it at default setting for audio and video but the aspect ratio was too big for example movie titles etc would not fit on the screen. So I changed it from 4:3 to 16:9 and its much better.

When it came to video system Iwas not 100% sure of what to set it to. My tv is a 42" Lg hd ready tv its a 100hz model. So I set it to 1080i 60hz as there was only 1080i 50hz or 60hz I presume this is ok feed back appreciated.

I will give more feed back when I have used it abit more.

Got mine today. Seems OK, but for a problem I am having with audio. All I get is hissing on some HD files (I think it's only DTS audio affected).

I set the Audio settings to RAW instead of LPCM, which I expect to mean the audio is fired as-is to the amp to decode. The amp (Onkyo 606) can decode DTS, but all I get is hiss.

    Video playback seems fine.

Nope, good, bad, or indifferent, I cannot get my Argosy to play films with DTS. Annoying, as it's publically states the DTS logo on the site.

Don't know why RAW output doesn't work like it should, amp does nothign but give white noise.

Anyway, all my HD videos are converted to mpeg4 ts, which most software doesn't like with regards converting the dts stream to DD AC3 (for MKV, use Popcorn Audio Converter).

So, I'd have to somehow convert my TS video to MKV, then convert the audio, which I can't be bothered doing.

Mine has had no issue playing any films I have downloaded. Most films I go for are 720p and I have had no issues no matter what format there in although I havnt converted any files just played as they were downloaded.

Also with regards to hissing audio I dont have any issue like that but I have just been playing audio through my tv.

Or you could extract the DTS audio from the TS file. Convert it to AC3 and mux that back into the original TS file.

To update, it seems to have no problems at all with DTS on MKV containers, which is strange.

I can only guess that the MKV2VOB program did something when the MKVs were converted to m2ts for PS3 support.

Anyway, don't need to worry about MKV2VOB anymore, now I've a way ot play MKV natively! :)
