Karate classes in Waterford

    Hi

    Can anyone give me some advice on any decent karate schools in Waterford. I don't really mind the style just want a good school. Also are there any Okinawan styles beeing taught in Waterford or the South East

    The college have a good karate club but I don't think they are training over the summer.

    There's a guy called Darren Fennessy teaching shotokan in waterford also. Have a look here: http://www.waterfordmartialarts.com/staff.php
    I know him well he's a sound guy and he's good.

    Also does shotokan but I think it's slightly more sports orientated.

    I agree with charlie3dan, darren does shotokan at WMA and he teaches us kickboxing sometimes, well worth going to him, excellent teacher

    Shotokan is very popular in Waterford. I'm not sure how popular other karate styles are but there's bound to be some. Most likely you'll end up doing shotokan.

    Any particular style of Karate that you are looking for? There are different styles of Karate. Shotokan happens to be the most well known Okinawan style.
