Female want a small 4x4

Hi,

I love the small 4x4 cars, the small ones, compact. 2 doors will do too, but a bit of room in the boot is desirable.

I came across a few but I am unable to tell which brand/models they were

I will buy one which is few years old but I want something reliable and cheap to maintain and offers a confortable ride.

Petrol or diesel does not matter, but with a reasonable MPG.

It really depends what you want it for. Small 4x4s generally ride poorly compared to a good estate, and will use more fuel too. Do you actually need the AWD and ground clearance, or do you just like the look of them? If the latter, make a note of the make/model next time you see one you like and start from there.

Diahatsu Terios is always a good model, more on the looks side than the practical 4x4 but a nice car, also reliable, you still see plenty of 90's models knocking around.

Small jeep thats cheep to run , fun to drive and is actually of some use off road , theres only one .....

Suzuki Jimny , dont mind the knockers , these things are great fun

Doesn't score very well in the "comfortable ride" department though in fact, on a bad road it'll shake your fillings out. Nor is the boot of any real use unless you put the rear seats down.

Rav 4 is quite small. Been a while since i have been in one but the 2004 model was great. Not sure if you can get it in a 2 door though. Im sure someone on here would know better than me.

Note though that the above are really underpowered and fuel consumption is heavy due to their point size engines. The Suzuki Jimny is probably the best suggestion so far though.

The suzuki grand vitara 1.6 is a great little jeep, my sister has one, easy to drive, fully 4wd, very easy maintaence and comfy ride.

She's actually selling it at the moment as she's moving to austrailia, PM me if your interested

I really like the Suzuki Vitara, later models, like your sisters brownacid.
I will be commit myself to buy it around Christmas though, not right now. Good luck with the sale, it really is a nice one with low mileage, and cheap.

have a look at the suzuki sx4, I think they look great. dunno if they actually have 4wd tho.
