You're not getting old, you're getting wise, Saab Ed.

Boxy it is, but a Volvo 240 is a man's car. A proper man's car is RWD not the girly FWD stuff Saabs are made of

In the past i've had both a 240gle and a 240 glt ( by far and far the best model to get 2.3lt , kjet mechanical fuel injection ) and as you say unkel they are a real car and so easy to work on and good fun to drive as well. I've also had an S70 2.5 and an S80 in the past as well and found them very very comfy and rapid when needed , if a little bit thirsty :-D

I've also had a 900NG 2.3 and loved it and currently have a 9000cse anniversary and have to say the Saab definitely has it for comfort and pace over the Volvo's but its very very close race indeed.
