Am waiting to receive the iphone 4, which is my first iphone. I've been a nokia relic so far.

I would like to find out some info on how to get ready for synching from itunes to phone etc.

Any links on how I can become familiar with working an iphone with itunes and vice versa?

    thanks.

I am new to iphones myself. I am expecting my iphone 4 to be delivered tomorow. However i've been using itouch for years now. I dont think there is any special websites to teach u how to use itunes. Its pretty basic actually. Download the software for free from apple and u will figure out how to do it.

If ur having difficulty using itunes, just post what u want to know and i will try and answer them specifically. In the mean time, i found this.

It aint much but something is always better than nothing i guess.

OHHHHHHHH trust me you will love the iphone im on my second and it changes everything a phone should be.
Itunes is very simple you drag and drop you music or just rip to it or whatever, then too sync plug you phone in and itunes will backup and sync. Apple.com will have alot on info and you phone will come with info too,but its so easy to use like you will be flying after half a hour.:D

I'm also hoping my iPhone will be delivered in the next few days and wondering what's the best way to transfer my contacts etc. From my Nokia E51 to the iPhone. Is there anything I really need to be doing while my mega sim is still working in the Nokia?

    @milltown
    hi m8..

i too have finally gone down the iPhone road , from been a Nokia fan For years.....
i have to say that this is the best phone that i have had....its really Good!!!

I had previously had n95 and N97....stayed away from IPhone coz it had pretty bad camera and No flash...but all that has changed with iPhone 4
I thought the N97 was Great.....but this is far superior...

If you follow the below thread you find out how to easily move your contacts onto the iPhone...as the iPhone uses a micro sim....you cannot put your Nokia sim into it!

Got my 1st i phone last year and havent looked back since.Went through about 12 phones before i decided and will never go back.Enjoy it to the max.:)

To go with it you should pick up a solar powered i-phone charger,Got 1 as a present in may,Never heard of them before and havent stopped recommending them to my mates since. So so handy.

The power packs that are like covers are very good too. They add alot of additional talk time to the phone which is handy if your out for ages.

    Have you tried tube2tones.com ?

Convert any music or movie sound bite (basically anything from YouTube) into a ringtone.
Really simple and free to use.

    Enjoy.

If anyone's got the time Steve Jobs's introduction to the iPhone 4 at WWDC 2010 conference on Apple's website is worth a look. It's about 40 minutes in.

Another question: When I receive the iphone, would I be better off charging it fully first before doing anything, or just run it down(assuming it comes a little bit charged) first and then do a full recharge?

I heard that this first charge can make a huge difference to the battery life in the long run:rolleyes:

Yeah your ment to do a full charge the first time. But theres is not a hope you will stop playing with it :P If I were you I would install battery doctor. Its a kinda thing to manage your battery and it does this kinda full super duper charge or whatever and is ment to be good for your battery.
