Somewhere to get lapttop fixed in Dublin?

    Or it it too far gone?

    I banged it off the table in a stupid fit of rage. It won't turn on, the screen remains blank and if I tilt it it looks a bit funny. It still makes the same noises but some other sounds as well.

    Any hope?

    Do you have a monitor that you could plug your laptop into, to see what stage it boots into.

    At the moment it sounds ok, bar the screen.

    There are a fair amount of repair shops in dublin, that will repair laptops.

    My advise would be to source a screen online (€30 - 50) then bring it to a repair shop and ask them to replace it. Don't ask them to buy a screen for you as suddenly the price of a screen could be €100 and thats before labour charges.

    Costs all in, for a repair shop, roughly €150.

    That price was just for the screen, you could roughly add €50 per issue after that; fan, harddrive etc.
