Saw ads on the television a few weeks ago.

It's never too early to advertise for something.

I expect to see the Christmas ads as soon as the kids go back to school...

Ah it used to be so annoying as a kid when the back to school stuff started up in the middle of summer! I remember if I was watching tv and an ad came on for it I'd be scrambling for the remote to get it away from me a soon as possible

In my work back to school set up starts on Monday, sucks ass to be in retail this time of year, screaming, stroppy, unimpressed kids throwing temper fits at the parents, causing the parents to get majorly stressed themselves so they start screaming at the kids, causing me to get stressed by the insurmountable amount of screaming going on :( I once witnessed a parent get so stressed with a kid she actually smacked him a fair good pelt with the shoe she was trying to get him to put on...

I dreaded this when I was in school. August is the worst, when you have to go out and buy everything and prepare for another long and dull year. But hey, I'm not in school anymore :D It's been two years now, and the novelty of seeing school uniforms and books and being deliriously happy that they no longer apply to me hasn't worn off!

Sure it's only a month til they are back to school, the last few years around here they've been letting off fireworks over 2 months before the new year.

I use to hate this when I was in school. It's been 7 years and I still get that horrible feeling in my gut but then I realise it means all the little gremlin kids and annoying teenagers will soon be out of my way during the day.

Those ads make me sad :(

I'm not in school, just the memories that summer will end soon. Some positives were seeing some friends again!

What's the problem? Don't parents need to buy uniforms, books, stationary, bags, etc? 4 weeks in advance really isn't that much. Should they advertise the day before school starts back?

    And what's an "add"?

LOL - not surprising considering the angelus bells before the rte news about two weeks ago was the christmas one, with the 'live' crib and everyone in santa hats. this is july right? I'm sure it was a mistake but then again maybe not.

Oh and the best part about "back to school" is slamming the door behind them on that first morning and going back to bed ...I CANT WAIT ALREADY.

My Mam had 4 kids to buy for so she started her back to school shopping in May.

What's the big deal? Just because there's a new jumper in the wardrobe doesn't mean you're going back any sooner...
