Where to get DVD drive repaired?

My DVD drive has recently stopped reading and writing disks, I can hear it starting up but it just spits out disks after about 2 mins.
I'm reasonably close to Waterford, Wexford, Kilkenny and Carlow, and will also be in London for 10 days or so in the next week or two.
Anyone recommend where to get it fixed?
Should I wait until I go to London?
How long do you think it would take?
First Mac for me and have no experience of repairs, any help appreciated.

I think damage is due to my daughter dropping it(twice in 5 mins).

Hello, you can find a service provider near you by going to this page on apple's website: http://www.apple.com/ie/buy/locator/ . Select "Find a service provider" and tell it where you live and it will give you a map of where the nearest one is.

If there is no provider near you and you don't mind waiting, there are a few apple retail stores in London, you can take your machine to the genius bar there and they will help you out.

As far as time goes, it could take anywhere from a day to two weeks depending if they have the part in and how busy it is.

    Hope that helps,
    Adam

Thanks for that, tried the link, but ended up calling support. They have sorted a repair for me while in London and they'll replace the cracked keyboard surround too, all under the applecare plan.
    I love apple:)
