    Howyis lads

Just want to get some opinion on this, on the style, production, etc, and any general comment you have :)

I've been mixing using ableton live for a couple of years but I haven't really done anything professionally, only for a laugh initially just to see what the programs I used can do. I have maybe 2 albums worth of material, with work on a third idea and a small collection of b-sides.

This track (called Symbiotic Burlesque) is one of my latest. The video is simplistic as it was just to get the song a way to be posted on YouTube. The orchestral sample is from Tom Waits' assembling of Roxanne for Moulin Rouge. It was mixed using Ableton live 7 and I used a few free VSTs I found that sound brilliant, aswell as loops from Computer Music and Music Tech magazines.

Oh, and it's 9 and a half mins long, so it does take time to listen to :p

    Enjoy :D

Yeah man that's a decent track and would sit well on a chillout/downtempo compilation album, i like it.:)

I liked it, good effort overall.

For me it was just missing something in the middle section. Enjoyed it otherwise though :)

    Cheers lads :)

The idea of the middle section (the sax bit) is to bring the entire thing to a halt and give it a real chillout feel, I love the sax. such a nice instrument to listen to even when it's only a VST

I have 2 other tracks up on youtube at the moment

This should bring you to them
    http://www.youtube.com/user/DiobhalAbstruce#p/a/u/1/mMgBf0vmtw8

One is Prototype intellect, a mechanical riff kind of tune with lower, rythmic and clippy tracks and a higher, more flowing melody
The second is Touch, my "sex music" :p has voxed voice samples and crunchy distorted bits, alot like protoype intellect in its' style

    Enjoy :D
