Correct. My car also has an aftermarket Nokia handsfree kit installed, and those microphones.

I thought they were sensors for the alarm system, no?

When I first bought the car, I thought the same. But after reading the owners manual of the handsfree kit, turned out to be microphones. Also if they were factory fitted, I wouldn't think the manufacturer would leave them so exposed, looking aftermarket.

They're not microphones. They're ultrasonic sensors for an aftermarket alarm.

I've had them on two cars with no alarms?

You may have had a car with an alarm which was removed/deactivated/missing a remote so you didn't know you had it, but they're definitely alarm sensors.

They did have an alarm though, you just didn't have a fob.

if its microphones, where do the wires at the back of them lead to?

Car kits come with one microphone. The only one I've seen with two is the parrot mki9200 and they're connected together. Those are definitely alarm sensors.

yeah dual microphones sound a bit odd alright
