Strap for a Seiko

I have a nice Seiko watch and one of the pins has broken in the metal link strap. I brought it back to Weir's on Grafton street but they said it would cost 30 euro and take five weeks to fix. Does anyone know of a good jeweller who won't have to send it away and can put a new strap on for me? Thanks in advance.

As you accidently broke a spring bar you'll need a new spring bar like some of these http://cgi.ebay.ie/New-250pcs-Lot-Watch-Spring-Bars-Link-Pins-6-23mm-Tools-/280541974388?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Jewellery_Watches_WatchAccessories_SpareParts_SM&hash=item41519acf74 note just make sure your spring bar isn't 24mm if it is then just find a set that includes them.

I bought a watch and spectacle repair kit a few weeks ago in maplin for €15 including both of the above and was changing straps in just a few minutes.

Yes, it was the pin that attaches the strap to the watch. I'll ring around a few jewellers and failing that I'll look into a DIY job. Thanks for the help.

Postscript to this thread:

I had a new strap attached in half an hour yesterday for 12 UK pounds. I just walked in off the street. I think the lesson is to avoid Weirs on Grafton street if you need any repairs or replacements even if you bought the watch there to begin with.
