PS2 Adaptors

    Got a PS3 for me birthday and I wanted to know if any of you have used an adaptor for a PS2 controller on a PS3 as I've got 2 or 3 hanging around and I don't want go lashing out on new ones.

    The Dualshock 2 does not have any motion controls, i have a usb connection for mine as i used them on the PC now but i don't think you'll be able o use them on PS3. I don't think anything will work the way you want it to.

    I tried a play.com USB adapter on a standard PS2 dualshock. It kind of worked, but some of the buttons seemed to be wrong and it was nowhere near as responsive as a normal PS3 sixaxis. So I'd only use that in an emergency.

    I bought a USB adapter on ebay for about €5 a couple of months ago and it works perfectly for the majority of games.

    As mentioned above its no good if you need motion control and it doesn't have the central PS3 button for getting back to the menu and for powering off, but its well worth having in addition to proper PS3 controller. F**k spend 60 yoyo's on a new one.
