TG4 will be transmitting two major Irish Darts events for six consecutive Monday nights at 7.30pm commencing Monday, August 9th., and the programmes will be repeated on the following Sunday mornings.

The All-Ireland Darts Championships from the City West Hotel will be shown in the first three transmissions followed by the Grand Finals of the 2010 Ireland Players' Championships in the Springhill Court Hotel in the last three programmes.

good stuff. its great to see irish darts get some coverage, you've now got as many televised events as the BDO. Hope those tg4 guys were practicing there spotting compared to last year.

fair play to TG4. They really try to bring something different. Hopefully the camera work is better than Bravo's attempt at covering the European Champs in Germany.

Cant be much worse! But to be fair to Bravo they got it right after the first round matches with no more missed shots or finishes.

Great darts on TG4 on Monday night and a big improvement on the presentation by TG4.

Did anybody spot the Limerick Legend, Donie Corbett, in the audience?

Donie was the first winner of the Smithwick's Irish Masters in 1982 and was one of Ireland's top throwers for many years before emigrating to the sunshine in Spain.
He was back home for a short break and honoured us with his presence at the Springhill Court Hotel.

Right there, Pops, I had the pleasure of meeting up with them in Paddy's Point in 2006 - - 'tis they have the Good Life !

I believe that you are heading out there soon for a return visit ?

Yes will be going there for a few weeks after Killarney. However Donaldo and spouse are back here next week as their son is opening up a new venture in Limerick.
I'll try and coax them out for a night to avoid dehydration setting in but it will be difficult though :):)
