hong kong places to see and stay

    hi im heading to asia in december stoping off at hong kong for 2 days anyone knows places of interest and best part of town to stay on a budget cheers.

    im going to hong kong the end of August and then busing it to vietnam, Staying for 3 days, so im looking at Vitoria Peak ( view overlooking the whole city ) , the Big Buddha (close to the airport) and the Temple street night market for sure, see what else I find when I get over there, Haven't booked a hostel yet but Im looking at AhShan hostel ( i think) on Argyle Street in Kowloon , ill let you know how i get on!!

    i got a little guidebook before i left and just wandered around for a day.. which was nice!
    You can go up the mountain on a train and look down over the city.. you could also go up the big escalator if you want to go for a walk. there is a nice park too. I stayed in the ymca .. it's not fancy but it's pretty nice, very central and a fraction of the price of other hotels in the area.
    You should also get the ferry to one of the nearby islands.. it's a nice way to pass a day.
