ERAMUS in American universites.

Hello i was wondering is it possible to study a year abroad with ERAMUS in as american college or universty? Also would i have to pay tuition fees or accomodation fees? I am probably going to study law or arts at UCC or another NUI university and was wondering do these couses offer a years study abroad?

P.S (Im not thinking of doing european studies or Chinese studies as part of my degree so i cant take the European OR chinese study pathway)

Erasmus is a program designed for EU students exchange with funding provided so you can't pick a college in america and the colleges you can apply to depend on your course and home college.
There are some opportunities for exchanges with colleges in the states (there was two in nuig but i forget for which subjects) but the fees are very expensive, we're talking over 10k. Some colleges, such as NCAD, have programs with colleges from all over the world, including some colleges in the states, where two students literally swap places for a year/few months. They continue to pay their home fees. Contact your college to find out what international exchanges they take part in.

Well, in NUIG exchanges, you don't pay fees, although the expenses can quite heavy. You pay whatever fees you would for college and the American does the same (clearly you're getting the better deal)
Most Irish universities do these exchanges (Erasmus is a program between European universities) although they can be extremely competitive to get into and they can be very choosy about what they'll accept.
