Depends on how long is spent doing it, a 30 second cleaning for 30 or a 30 minute one for 50? Its not a TV or firdge, not all dentist are the same and not all dentist charge the same. Also what would a plumber do for 60 euro....sweet FA...yet alone scrape the bacteria off your teeth while sucking up your spit.

My dentist charges 60 euro also, but they have a specific hygienst which comes in on wednesday to do it. it's very thorough and takes about 10-15 mins. but she mostly gets concerned with gums and cleaning. so maybe have your dentist do it, he can check your teeth also. If you need anything else doing he'll tell ya. 60 seems to be the going rate. my old dentist in Blanchardstown used to charge 90.00 and so did the one in finglas I once went to. they're creaming it now because PRSI doesn't cover it, da bastards.

If you have medical insurance you may be covered for some of the cost.
