More and more I believe I am a socialist at heart. .

Long have I argued with friends about capitalism . .I have embraced it to my own downfall, but always felt it was more as survival, then a desired way of living . .

That said in this country I have little confidence in ANY of our political parties . .

I believe we need a political party leader (of any party) who will inspire people to work harder for less, but offer hope to those who feel that the country has abandoned them.

I believe we need a party we can believe in, not just a party that doesnt represent everything we hate in our current government.

I believe we need a party that can be honest with its people and answer questions honestly as its employer (the people) demands it. .

I also believe that I am talking through my hoop and that asking for these basic things are something that NO party will offer and no individual politician will offer because its not important to the people of this country, therefore why the fk would they bother trying to reason with a population that cares little for things like "morals" or "ethics" (what the fk are they!) . .

Is it really asking too much for us to elect a better politician for a better country ?

Answer : Yes, because nobody wants to do ANYTHING to improve things, this country lost its desire for Morals and ethics a long time ago . .

"Every country has the government it deserves.”
Joseph Marie de Maistre (French Diplomat, Writer, Philosopher and Politician, 1753-1821)

i.e. majority of voters are greedy and lazy. This is why populists will always win here

    Absolutely correct it would seem.

Politicians claim they wish only to 'serve' the people, but by 'the people' they mean those who see life as they themselves do.
A real deterrent to keep them on the right lines is urgently needed.

    I'd go with that statement.

Plus when ever the caught in any scandal(which is quite alot).

They first try to squirm or lie their way out, no back-bone or honestly.

    Morally lacking too.
