    I've read Duncan's book and it's an interesting read. The thing is not all bubbles are created equal. The amplitude of boom bust cycles have been getting bigger. Compare the tech bubble of the 90's which led directly to the Fed creating an even bigger housing bubble to counteract the previous bust. If a hands off approach had been taken the US would be well out of the 2001 recession and the global financial system would not be largely bankrupt.

    Green Bubble is next if were not already in it,
    and China are in a huge property bubble now

    some people might say sure whats the downside of having too many windmills etc same way as they were saying same about housing, and of course theres the constant ramping by few...

    Green bubble mirroring the old Railway frenzy perhaps? Disruptive technology etc.
