    Track Improvement Works - Heuston/Sallins Sat 31st July by Corporate Communications

    Due to Track Improvement Works between Heuston and Sallins the following arrangements will apply:

    Saturday 31st July

    17.45 Westport to Heuston will operate to Newbridge only. Bus transfers will operate from Newbridge to Heuston.

    18.20 Waterford to Heuston will operate to Kildare only. Bus transfers will operate from Kildare to Heuston.

    18.30 Cork to Heuston will operate to Newbridge only. Bus transfers will operate from Newbridge to Heuston.

    20.30 Cork to Heuston service will operate to Newbridge only. Bus transfers will operate from Newbridge to Heuston.

    21.00 Heuston to Cork service will be bus transfers from Heuston to Newbridge and by train from Newbridge to Cork. Train will depart Newbridge at 22.00.

    22.10 Heuston to Portlaoise will be bus transfers from Heuston to Newbridge and by train from Newbridge to Portlaoise. Train will depart Newbridge at 23.10.


    In addition, the following services are cancelled:

    18.40hrs Heuston - Thurles
    20.10hrs Heuston - Kildare
    21.10hrs Heuston - Kildare
    23.10hrs Heuston - Kildare

    19.55hrs Newbridge - Heuston
    21.20hrs Kildare - Heuston
    22.50hrs Kildare - Heuston

    Sandyford, Stillorgan and Kilmacud Luas Stops will be temporarily closed until 10.00am on the following dates:

     Saturday 31st July
     Sunday 1st August
     Bank Holiday Monday 2nd August

    During this temporary closure alternative bus transport will be provided between Sandyford, Stillorgan, Kilmacud and Balally Stops. Buses will run approximately every 15 minutes. No other stops on the Luas Green Line will be affected. Luas will operate between St. Stephen's Green and Balally at the normal frequency. Full service including Sandyford, Stillorgan and Kilmacud stops will start again at 10.00am. These temporary closures are to facilitate the construction of the Luas Green Line extension to Brides Glen.

    We would like to thank you for your co-operation with previous Late Weekend Starts. We are happy to say that previous closures went very smoothly and the stops were re-opened on time.

    Dublin Bus wishes to advise customers that due to the Focus Ireland Triathlon on Sunday 1st August from 07:00hrs to 10:00hrs the following diversions will apply;

    Route 7 from City Centre
    Buses will be diverted via Temple Hill, Stradbrook, Monkstown Avenue, Mounttown Road Upper, Mounttown Lower Roundabout, Glenageary Road Upper and back onto normal route.

    Route 7 to City Centre
    Buses will be diverted via Dun Laoghaire, York Road, Mounttown Road Upper, Monkstown Avenue, Stradbrook, Temple Hill and back onto normal route.

    Routes 46a, 75 and 746 to City Centre
    Buses will be departing from Marine Road and back onto normal route.

    Routes 46a, 75 and 746 from City Centre
    Buses will be diverted via Mounttown Road Upper, Glenageary Road Upper, Glenageary Road Lower, Park Road (People’s Park), Queens Road and Marine Road where buses will terminate.

    Dublin Bus wishes to advise customers that due to the closure of Sydney Parade Avenue on Friday 30th July from 19:00hrs to Monday 2nd August at 00:00hrs the following will apply:

    Route 2 and 3 will terminate at St. Johns church and will not serve Belfield in both directions.

    Dublin Bus wishes to advise customers that due to roadworks on St.Stephens Green East in the contra flow bus lane the following diversions will apply on Sunday 1st August from 09:00hrs to Monday 2nd August 2010 at 23:00hrs.

    Route 11/a
    These routes will operate as per normal to St. Stephens Green North continuing ahead to Merrion Row to Pembroke Street, left to Leeson Street and back onto normal route.

    Routes 14/a, 15/a/b from City Centre
    These routes will operate as normal to St. Stephens Green North continuing to Merrion Row and right onto Pembroke Street right to Leeson Street and left to Earlsfort Terrace and back onto normal route.

    Routes 44 and 48a from City Centre
    These routes will operate to Merrion Street Upper and turn left to Merrion Row and right onto Pembroke Street, then right to Leeson Street and left to Earlsfort Terrace and back onto normal route.

    Routes 46a and 746 towards Dun Laoghaire
    These routes will operate as per normal to St. Stephens Green North continuing ahead to Merrion Row to Pembroke Street, left to Leeson Street and back onto normal route.

    Route 128 towards Rathmines
    These routes will operate as normal to St. Stephens Green North continuing to Merrion Row and right onto Pembroke Street right to Leeson Street and left to Earlsfort Terrace and back onto normal route.

    Route 140 towards Leeson Street
    These routes will operate as per normal to St. Stephens Green North continuing ahead to Merrion Row to Pembroke Street, left to Leeson Street and back onto normal route

    Route 145 towards Kilmacanogue
    These routes will operate as per normal to St. Stephens Green North continuing ahead to Merrion Row to Pembroke Street, left to Leeson Street and back onto normal route.

    Dublin Bus wishes to advise customers that due to water works on Stocking Lane the road will be closed to traffic from Tuesday 3rd August 2010 for a period of six weeks.

    As a result of this Route 74a will have the following diversion;

    Route 74a towards Stocking Avenue
    Normal route as far as the junction of Ballyboden Way and Scholarstown Road, then continue through the roundabout heading for the M50 Bridge, over the M50 Bridge onto St. Colmcilles Way, turn left onto Ballycullen Road, then left onto Stocking Avenue and continue down Stocking Avenue and terminate at a temporary terminus at the last stop outbound on Stocking Avenue junction with Stocking Lane.

    Route 74a towards Britain Quay
    Buses will leave from a temporary terminus on Stocking Avenue, continue down Stocking Avenue, turning right onto Ballycullen Road, right onto St. Colmcilles Way, over the M50 Bridge onto Scholarstown Road and then onto Ballyboden Road and back onto normal route.
