earth leakage clamp meter

    Hi all ,
    I have an earth leakage clamp meter with no instructions can someone tell me while checking the leakage through an rcd do i clamp the incoming phase and neutral or the out going phase and neutral to take a reading also has anyone links to any sites for info on using the meter for different applications

    hey -can't afford one but anyway;)


    for general leakage i'd prob clamp the 'main protective conductor' on tn-c-s


    for rcd 'standing leakage' am i right in thinking you can clamp phase and neutral together at the rcd to measure the imbalance?
