Tried Veet and hated it, it pulled my skin more than my hair and i was left with tufts of hair. Anyone able to recommend a good product to use at home that really removes all hair? Thanks!

I don't actually mind the veet strips (the pink ones) I just can't do it myself, have to get a friend to help :o

Have you thought about an epilator? I got one in argos for €35 the other day. Don't get me wrong, it hurts, but it doesn't rip at your skin, just pulls the hair :) In the long run you'll probably save money.

Re: the waxing, I've heard good things about the Nair homewax stuff :)

Been using veet for ages, not those strips though - the wax pot that you heat in the microwave.

I prefered the Boot's Sugaring Kit as it was only about €4 and did a great job. But I think it got recalled from the market for some reason, what a pity!

Are you exfoliating like crazy the day before waxing? Are you spreading the wax thin enough on your legs, OP? It doesn't sound like it from your post, if you are left with tufts of hair. Also, no OTC product can remove 100% of hair, it's to do with hair growth cycles.

no i don't exfoliate the day before, what do you use to exfoliate with? i have only tried the wax strips from Veet, not the wax jar, is it better to use?

An exfoliating scrub, or those scrubby gloves, anything that will get that dead skin off!

I wouldn't waste my time on the wax strips, tbh.

If I am home waxing I usually go for veet I find it easy to use on my legs I don't use wax for my under arms the cream does the job there, as for the Hollywood I prefer it done by an expert :D

Nads is a good wax and there's a de-sensitising wipe to use beforehand!! Also epilators are brilliant!

Anyone ever used this for home waxing?

Veet Pure Essential Oils Warm Wax

What was it like? Would you recommend it?

    Thanks.
