Looking at getting a hydraulic top link for a David Brown 996. I priced a Cat 2 one with check valves at €150 today but the David Brown has a smaller than normal gap for putting the top link on the tractor, the top link I priced had a ball width of 51mm but the tractor can only take a max of 41mm. Is it possible to get one to suit a David Brown or will I have to go grinding ??

Thats a very low price so its a universal type Hydraulic top link,
The correct type link (if you could get it) would be double that price,
If the pin fits through the tractor and isnt loose in the ball,
there will be no harm in grinding 5mm off each side as all
the pressure is in the middle.

It is indeed a universal one, it's one for light work so it should do the job, thanks man !!

Firstly sorry for digging up the old post:

Cian1500ww also looking at getting hydraulic toplink for the brown; just wondering how you got on. Did you have to fit extra spool valve as our only has the single valve for the tipping trailer. If so any chance of a few pics to see the layout.
