Alvin Greene is the SC democratic nominee for Senate. He comes across as either being on drugs or being severely mentally deficient and seems to have only managed to get votes by causing voter confusion.

Is he a plant by the republican part to discredit democrats? From the sounds of it he wouldn't have been able to fund his own campaign so someone decided to back him.

It has even been said that he received votes from people who thought he was Al Greene the singer:D

Does it matter? He's a Nominee, not an Elect. There's been sufficient press on the matter to ensure that nobody should be voting for him. And as well as that, its South Carolina.

I think if the republicans are using tactics like this it should be highlighted. Whats to stop them doing this for all the Nominee's?

They can basically pick who they want for opposition at $10,000 a piece.

It still takes an electorate to vote for him. And the guy didn't even campaign. Figure that out.

If it was a Republican ploy, it was a sure weak one. like sending one zergling at a noob player that won't even kill it with his SCVs..

Greene was cleared of any wrongdoing by a South Carolina investigation.

The money was accounted for and matched up against his story.

Wow, with all the MSM attention and reporting about the myriad of possible wrongdoing involved, you’d think the MSM would have put just as much effort into a story clearing Greene and any Republican shenanigans.

Oh wait, that type of story wouldn’t have helped Democrats… There is no story here folks… nothing to see... please keep moving!

Greene is the product of irresponsible Black populism, as is Obama. Greene is Obama, on the local level. The job of the Electoral College is to counter such recklessness within democracy. It failed, obviously, in the case of Obama.
