Hi, I have went through the very detailed sticky but I still have problems.

On start up my anti virus (Bull Dog) will tell me it stopped a virus and/or asking permission for a file to connect to internet.

Files like Kernel Veryfier and 12345.exe keep popping up.

I have scanned with loads of tools in safe mode but no luck.

    any ideas please?

Have a look in the sticky if you haven't already?

Did it mention a name of the suspected virus?
If not, keep throwing various scanners at it. Try a hijackthis (you can post log below) and MBAM.

You should consider a personal firewall as well, unless you have one (I don't mean Windows native FW).

    Check your startup.

    hi,

The only thing it says is, Kernal Veryfier is looking to access the internet, allow or not allow.

it also says, 28108.exe has been stopped and your computer is safe to use. the .exe file has taken many different forms joujbvje.exe, 79231.exe, vsbntlo.exe etc.

I have used all tools suggested in sticky, it catches some of them but not the root cause as they seem to recreate on reboot.

Will try one's you suggested, thanks.

Try the hijackthis and see what processes it doesn't like.
Open Task Manager and see if you can find the "bad" process and kill it.

It's not uncommon for the original bad file to spawn new files to try to save itself from deletion.
Often you have to know what's supposed to be there and assume that everything else is bad.
Google each process to find out what it does.

    Good luck :)

No, it catches the virus but they recreate themselves on start up.

I have change user account and they are inactive.

Think I'm in over my head on this one. :o

    Easy fix

go to run and type msconfig
choose selective start up and then click the start up tab
go through the list and remove anything that you dont need starting and any that looks suspicious.
This will stop the virus from loading and any other usless program from starting so your PC will also start up faster.

When you have the name of the virus, google a solution to remove it.
