I've just got a quote of about €350 to replace 2 rear wheel bearings on a 2003 Ford Fiesta from main dealer?
Anyone know if this sounds correct? I was told that they have to order the rear drum (??), can't order the bearing separately.

    Thanks

Sounds very expensive to me, even when adding in they will have to change the brake shoes as well.

Not in the know about Ford costs but I'd say it's double what it should be.

Sounds about right to me.Its not the drum that has to be ordered--its the rear hub.Comes as a complete assembly--hub and bearing.

Wheel bearings including the hub are €79.00 each
2 Hours labour is what Ford recommend @ 80 per hour(depends on the dealer)

    So 320 + Vat @ 13.5 is 363 approx.

@Tea Drinker--you dont have to change the shoes.

Thats not a bad price for the hubs. My yaris hubs are the same type but cost almost 300 euro each! Cortez, if you're handy with a spanner you could do the job yourself. But otherwise 350 euro is a good price.
