Im sure there are lots of dentist on board, so Thought I would share my daughters story.
Shes 7, she has Aspergers, and has sensory problems. So, she is AFRAID of her teeth. Its like its painful to touch. Her teeth where and are so bad, she is embarresed by them and afraid to smile as some people comment.
Anyway. We had to take her to a dentist as they where bleeding and she was white and they had to come out ASAP.
We had been to various dentist before but they kept trying to teach her to clean them.I dont think they understood the sensory issues.
We went to a new dentist up the road.HE WAS A GOD SEND.
He took his time, some how he managed to give her the injection ,without her even knowing and the tooth was removed.Since then shes been a bit , tiny bit, more confident in herself.
I was cleaning her teeth last night and the lump of plaque fell off. There was lots of blood and it took a while to settle down. After she ren to get paper and
    this is what she wrote.

On the cornor of it down the right hand side, it asks the fairies to let her Dentist DAVE know.Well it says tell to Dave the ..and a picture of a tooth.
No, that man has had a huge impact on my daughter and if ever there was a dentist of the year award ggoing, Id nominate him.

She was so happy and wanted to share it with him.
    Now thats lovely.

Aww that's lovely, I think the manner of the dentist really has a huge impact
on the patient regardless of age.
