This is shaping up to be the most unmissable Irish small hall bill in many years.

I advise that ticket are procured!

He is number 9 in the European rankings. Tough and solid but nothing amazing. There is a YouTube vid of his fight with Bracco if you want to take that in. If Casey beats him it should put him in the European top ten and therefore able to fight for the European title.

Its a cracking opportunity for Willie - thats some serious progress in 12 months.

    Nice!

Seems like a fairly level headed bloke with a nice air of confidence about him. Can't say I've ever seen him fight but if he could hold his own against katsidis and be taken on by Freddie roach than he must have something about him.
What do those in the know think. Has he got what it takes to go all the way?

If Byrne is the biggest attraction, it's purely because he is a Dub. Local alliances aside, Willie Casey v Salvini is the biggest fight by a mile. And it will be the most entertaining also.

Quite frankly, it's about time those protected Hylands did something worthwhile. Their bum hunting has become a little pathetic. Same goes for Andy Murray.

I agree the Casey fight should be the highlight of the night, but what have the Hylands or Murray got to do with this thread. Start another one about them if you wish, but none of them are on this card so shouldn't be mentioned, unless in context.

you should - and bring a load of friends.

DolPhil are putting on a monster bill here and without television coverage I would say that they are just about breaking even financially so the show should be supported by the punters - that is if you want to have more cards put on in the future. :)

Chill the beans sunshine. Casey and Byrne are undefeated prospects like Andy Murray and Paul Hyland, so I decided to make a little slightly off topic remark about other prospects in Ireland who are in a similar situation. It doesn't deserve a new thread, so my unreserved apologies for wasting the whole 5 seconds it took you to read it.

apology accepted, although I will never get those 5 seconds back.:D

And Paulie Hyland isn't undefeated, Patrick is.

yeah a lot do. anyway I agree with your previous post about them stepping up in class. From what I hear, the Hylands will be soon enough, not to sure about Andy Murray though. Casey Vs either Paulie or Pajo would be a good domestic fight, but I believe either Hyland would beat him. thats another days work I suppose.:)

i was at the andy murray fight against fagan not too long ago. my favourite fight was hyland and coveny.
i agree that pajo would beat casey but not too sure about paul......

gonna be a great night !!!!!!!!!

Dean Byrne calls out A-Muz and Frankie Gavin

    http://boxing-ireland.com/20100803_warning_4_a-muz_58.html

If Byrne comes back to Ireland for good things could really heat up - Byrne doesnt play the savvy media game like other "nice guy" fighters and would jump in there with middleweights for a bit of sparring.

Dean is growing on me rapidly.

Get yer arses down and support this show guys.

Its a cracking deep card and needs punters to show their appreciation for putting it together - the only way to get more cards like this is bums on sets.
