I'm going to be in Belfast this weekend for a stag and was wondering if anyone knew of any good bars to watch the football?

Hey , was up there a few weeks ago.
The Hetfield on the Ormeau Rd should have it on, as will O'Donnells GAA club off the Falls Rd.
Dont think theres anywhere in the City Centre that'll be showing it.

i'd imagine "the royal bar" on the shankill road would be as good a spot as any to watch it......... :pac:

I was up in Belfast this last year and I got violently frustrated whenever there was a hurling match on. For all the spouting of nationalist shyte pubs go in for it's very hard to find a place to watch matches. The Hatfield might for a big one but it's no guarantee, I was told no there when there were only about three people in the bar and two televisions. My advice would be to go out west and watch it in one of the club houses just to be safe. I'd recommend St Galls in Andytown or St. John's on the Whiterock Road.

A bit of a joke when not even one pub in Belfast city centre will show a football match. Its sad when politics rules over common sense. I know if i owned a pub i let whoever watch whatever (within reason of course). I'd even show a televised 12th of July parade if it got bums on seats.

Loads of pubs in Belfast show GAA the times I've been up there. Castle street in the city centre is a nationalist area and has a number of pubs which show GAA.

I've watched GAA matches in "the bot" in the past. Good atmosphere during them too.

The bar beside Castlecourt should show the match, as should Bar 12 Botanic Avenue and the Parador Ormeau Road for definite
