Haven't seen these on offers since they returned to the shelves. They are usually 1.99 for 2

You always could as far back as I can remember. Some butchers used to make your own which might have needed proper cooking but the walsh ones were precooked meat & breadcrumbs.

BTW offer is valid from 21/7/2010 until 10/8/2010

I doubt you can freeze them tbh, arent they sold pre cooked?

(Off topic slightly,) is there anywhere that sells the 6 pack of walshs spiceburgers? I cant find any around in the last few weeks

I don't see why them being cooked makes a difference? most frozen ready meals are already cooked. Since the spiceburgers are cooked the use by is a few weeks away (far longer than raw burgers).

My packet did say they are not to be frozen, I do not remember seeing this before on them. It said the product was frozen already and should not be refrozen. There are loads of myths surrounding this, it is not due to bacteria magically multiplying overnight or anything, what happens is when food is frozen, defrosted, frozen & defrosted over and over the texture of it changes, the water expands and can rupture cells.

So the only "harm" in doing it would be the texture/taste. You should always defrost in the fridge or cook them. I would personally slice them first and then freeze so they can defrost quicker.

I heard the factory now only makes spiceburgers after it reopened, so I wonder if they just are doing batches and freezing them now.
