Galway races Traffic?

    Hi all, any idea is there much Helicopter activity around this year?? Its the only thing i like about the Races TBH.

    Be nice to know so i can take some shots if there is anything around and where are they operating from?

    A lot quieter than previous years... not much in Mon Tue Wed ... something like 100 landings over thur fri sat sun...

    Hi guys went down to the Landing Site beside Galway Docks today for a few shots around 1pm and only one was operating so got these from 1pm

    So then later after 6:30PM i decided to head down again with my dad and we got nothing then out of the blue within the space of 6 minutes all of this happened!!! :-)

    where abouts are they landing Dave i might pop down tomorrow see if anything is happening. On a non aviation note the irish naval vessel the LE Eithne is in galway in the docks.

    Ha couldn't they take the container off the back of her and use her as a landing site :D

    container seems to be gone she had a marquee on her heli deck this morning but was gone this afternoon. will get photo of her tomorrow for the mil forum :P

    Down the back of the Docks near the fuel containers, I snapped LE Eithne, pics are in the Mil section, she left at 18:30 yesterday and R115 did winching with her as she left Galway bay.

    Usual rubbish in the herald today where Chris De Burgh had to justify why he flew his heli to Galway in the middle of a recession etc etc blah blah blah.:mad:
