What ever you do don't take Lufthansa, it's like being in an 80's airplane movie.

Cathay Pacific - fantastic. No idea whether they are expensive or not though.

In my opinion best planes to get to HK are either BA, KLM, Virgin Atlantic-

    1) You arrive in HK the next either early or late afternoon

    2) The flight home back to Dublin is late at night, so you get an extra day in HK and when you board the flight it's time for bed!!

Not sure if Cathay Pacific are the same, pretty sure they are but are mad expensive!!

Aim to go first few weeks of June, peak season usually starts mid June, third week??

Thanks for all the feedback. Going to HK for a leaving certificate end holiday. Only reason for going is for free accommodation ,friend has property in HK. Looks like I might fly KLM as they were 650 quid return. Dont know if theres anything cheaper than that?

Good price. Grab it! They're fine to fly with but the best aspect is that Schipol is a much easier airport to transfer in than Heathrow or Charles de Gaulle. I had 8 minutes between connections recently after my flight was delayed from Dublin and made it. Try that in Heathrow!
