How Are You Getting To Atlanta? Flight Info etc...

Kane has mentioned quite a few there; I would just add www.ebookers.ie & www.alpharooms.com for flights & hotels.

I am not going next year, but I got flights to Orlando & nights hotel (New Year) for €670 all in so there are good bargains to be had on these sites.

Best of luck to everyone planning their trip for Mania...I'd recommend paying a little extra to be closer to the stadium etc. In my own personal experience, what I saved on hotels further away was spent on taxis once I got there! (especially in Orlando for Mania 24).

I won't be on here that much in the coming months, but if you would like any advice on travel to mania, just pm me and I'll do my best to help.

I've no flights booked yet and I'm probably going to wait another few months before I decide anything for definite.

My flights have gone done around €50 in the last few days. Hopefully this trend continues. :)

Just checked Delta, my direct flights are nearing the €1000 mark. They were just over €750 a couple weeks ago. :(

Have you not got flights yet?

They'll go down again eventually. Prices are always fluctuating.

Nope, haven't booked yet. Was hoping they'd still go down from €750

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 589 ✭✭✭killyourtv

They're usually cheapest around November - January

I'll probably wait anyway. Don't wanna spend over €900 on flights. I'll have to keep my eye on all the sites.

Flights are very good at the moment and for the last maybe 6 weeks with BA and US AIRWAYS around the 550 mark but are connecting flights - i dont mind that myself so im probably going to do one of them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,785 ✭✭✭Kane-N-Nite

I still prefer to go direct, but if I must stop over I will. I'll keep a close eye on delta.

Booked my flight today, £426, London to Atlanta direct which is decent I think.

Gets me there at 1.30 so will definatley have all evening free for axxess/roh whatever.

    What airline is that?

    KLM operated by Delta.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,785 ✭✭✭Kane-N-Nite

That seems pretty awesome, although against my better judgement I think I'll go with the direct from Dublin. If they would go down to €700 again, I'd buy straight away, but €960 is very off putting.

We land in Miami, road trip in Florida for a week before heading to ATL on friday for the ROH show. We leave after Raw to catch the plane the next day in Miami

hey guys can anyone recommend any other sites apart from Expedia that will help with specifically flights+ accommodation packages, quite keen to be doing that as opposed to buying flights and accommodation separately

last minute are quite good. If stuck your local travel agent should be able to build a package together with flights and hotels

I'm still waiting for my flights to go down. €870 direct return. I know I'll end up paying it but I got to Phoenix for £400.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 589 ✭✭✭killyourtv

Seems you could find it much cheaper flying from Heathrow to Atlanta and just getting a seperate flight from Dublin.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,785 ✭✭✭Kane-N-Nite

Yeah. That's true. But I'm far too lazy. I'll keep checking Deltas site for reductions though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,785 ✭✭✭Kane-N-Nite

I'm about to have a stroke here. My flights were €870 yesterday & €2300 today.
The second they go down to €800 or less (hopefully) I am buying.
    :(

Hope they go down Kane, that is pretty pricey!!

Against my better judgement went with BA even after last year. Going with over airlines would work out cheaper but means getting 3 connections. Can't be hassled with loads of connections.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,785 ✭✭✭Kane-N-Nite

    Down to €1500 today.
It's €603 return with BA via Heathrow, against my better judgement, that's starting to look pretty good.

They'll go down in the January sales like last year

Just booked my flights. Finally. 8 nights in Atlanta. Doubled my nights there.
Leave March 29 to April 6. At least I'll fit more activities in. Direct with Delta for €464, only cheaper because of the days chosen.
    Big relief having them booked.

Apart from KNN, who else has booked their flights? I did a quick search on Delta and it seems to be cheaper to fly back on the Wednesday than the Tuesday. I'm just wondering how late I could leave it to book flights and to avoid getting the arm put into me.

Anyone heading to Vegas this time?? :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 589 ✭✭✭killyourtv

Most airlines usually have January sales, so it's possible to get it cheaper then.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,785 ✭✭✭Kane-N-Nite

Some weeks on & the flights I wanted to get off Delta are still as expensive. Glad I changed my dates to make flights more affordable.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 589 ✭✭✭killyourtv

I still haven't looked at flights and hotels seriously.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 192 ✭✭RKJ_force
