Cook it yourself! Chinese food is easy and when you make it yourself it's really healthy.

One of the sizzling things, ideally seafood or beef. If it's a really good Chinese, it may have a separate menu for Chinese customers with lots of steamed options.

They can have loads of calories due to the massive portions you usually get, I usually get a good 2 meals from my local one, I have weighed them before and they are usually twice the weight as microwave ready meals. Some dishes are bigger than others. In the ones I go to several have (dry) beside the dish so you know there is no very oily/sugary sauce. Most chinese will give the chips/rice/fried rice/noodles as standard, but you could ask for mixed veg instead, they usually charge 30-50cent more for fried rice and €1 for noodles, so if the mixed veg costs more on the menu they should just charge that little bit extra.

You could always just ask for something specific yourself, this way you know it is made fresh too.

I'd say eating the menu itself is probably the heathiest option in most Chinese take aways.

    +1
Chinese take-aways cater to Western tastes so have lots of salt, sugar and MSG

I've gotten plain stir fried vegatables in soy sauce before, had it with half a boiled rice. Reasonably ok for a takeaway, although as people have said before, could have easily done it myself.
