Just turned on my laptop and half the screen is cracked and gone blank.
Is it shaged or is it possible to repair it?

Is it physically cracked? Did it get hit with something?

If its cracked then, yup - its shagged. Luckily, replacement laptop screens are cheap enough to find online (ebay). Probably be between €100 to €150. They're pretty standard and easy to swap out.

I thinking I might have accidently stood on it. No sure though.
No physical scrath but the colours are all over the place. Really annoying.

Not too hard to switch out if you feel comfortable around computers, and only a screw driver needed.

My advice download a program like Everest which will give you the exact manufacturers spec of the screen eg LG Philips XXXX. Works out cheaper buying the screen like that over buying for the particular laptop model.

Should cost no more then €100. If not buy the screen first and than bring it to a tach to replace...dont let them charge you more than €30.

Take a photo of screen using camera at max resolution and view on another PC.
If its cracked you will see it clearly.
Fit screen yourself, its easy and many tutorials available if you google.
