Handheld radio Question

    Hi Recently i bought a GRE PSR 255 Handheld Scanner (GRE PSR 255) Anyway will i be able to Pick up Airports On this radio and emegency serivces Amublance gardai etc And will i be able to pick up airports on this scanner aswell? this is my main Priority.

    The civil airband is AM VHF, between the frequencies 108 MHz to 137 Mhz.

    This radio seems to be NFM only, and does not cover those frequencies, so no, you will not be able to pick up ATC comms.

    I'm afraid I agree with St. Leibowitz. It says it covers a range of 26mhz to 512mhz with gaps. Unfortunatley looking at the specs 108mhz to 137mhz falls into one of those gaps and you will not be able to receive the civil airband.

    Pity you didn't ask us first. I hope you can replace it.
