Where now for the Galway Hurlers??

For the second consecutive year another disappointing one point defeat at the quarter final stage. In spite of the defeat, I am still optimistic for the future if McIntyre stays as the manager. If he is pushed out by the usual Neanderthals in the hurling board we will be back to square one again for another 5+ years.

What are peoples thoughts & opinions?

this Galway team are coming they will get there in the next few years JC needs to get injury free we need two more fast players in the forward to play of JC who fit should be in the half forward line and Tannion needs to lose a stone but while i was devastated walking away from Crocker today I also feel that this Galway team will grow and mature ansd will win an AI. My biggest regret is i don't think that Ollie Canning will be there to get one he was superb again today,I cant understand teams trying to play ball in on top of him all the time you can count on 1 hand the number of bad games he has had for Galway in 14 years of playing for his county a gentleman to boot

well done to the Galway minors and I hope that young Waterford lad that broke his leg makes a full recovery

A very disappointed but optimistic for the future Galway man

I totally agree with you vis-a-vis Joe Canning and Tannian. It has been pretty evident all year that Canning has been hampered by injury. If he needs surgery, he should go under the knife ASAP and foresake any club commitments. Tannian has great skill but he is completely immobile at the moment.
Richie Cummins should be there next year as a quick forward to supplement D. Hayes. Collins needs to play in midfield and Burke could make a fine centre half forward which we are lacking at the moment.

The jigsaw pieces are coming together so let's stick with McIntyre!
