Hi, Anyone any advice on obtaining planning permission from Galway CC for one off housing? Will be up against it as on a main road? Anyone any advice?

It will be pretty hard to get PP on a Primary or Secondary roads, esp the closer it is to the city, and the further from the city you go, esp west towards Conemara, you'll have to contend with the serial objectors called An Taisce.
    Best of luck.

Where are you seeking planning? Is it along (or off) a national primary or secondary route? Yes, An Taisce will oppose but so will the National Roads Authority if they feel that any additional traffic movements will constitute a traffic hazard.
